Miami Dolphins and Truist Name Hispanic Unity of Florida President & CEO Felipe Pinzón a “Local Legend”

Honored during Hispanic Heritage Month, Felipe Pinzón was recognized on-field at halftime during the Dolphins’ home opener against the Kansas City Chiefs on September 27. 

MIAMI, Fla. (September 28, 2026) — Hispanic Unity of Florida (HUF) President and Chief Executive Officer, Felipe Pinzón, was selected as a Miami Dolphins Local Legend, presented by Truist during the Dolphins’ home opener against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, September 27, 2026. 

The Local Legends Presented by Truist initiative shines a spotlight on South Florida heroes whose dedicated work creates transformative change across the region. Pinzón was recognized for his visionary leadership at HUF, where he has advanced economic mobility, educational empowerment, and civic engagement for tens of thousands of working families and immigrant families throughout South Florida. 

During the halftime presentation, Pinzón was joined on the field by representatives from Truist and Miami Dolphins alumni as he received the honor before more than 59,000 fans.

It reflects the work of an extraordinary team at Hispanic Unity of Florida and the strength and determination of the families we are privileged to serve.
