Hispanic Unity of Florida (HUF) was founded in 1982 by local community leaders as a welcoming place of hope and support for immigrants and others starting a new life in the United States. From day one, our mission has been to help individuals and families adjust to life in a new country, find their footing, and pursue their version of the American dream.
Many of the people we serve arrive with little more than determination, often without knowing the language, the culture, or where to begin. But with strength and resilience, they move forward. HUF is proud to walk alongside them, offering the tools, guidance, and encouragement they need to succeed.
Today, HUF is South Florida’s largest 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the immigrant community. Since our founding, we’ve supported more than 585,000 individuals on their journey toward a brighter future.
