Hispanic Unity of Florida Celebrates Mothers Through Unity 4Kids’ Annual Mother’s Day Tradition

Hollywood, FL (May 6, 2026) — Hispanic Unity of Florida (HUF) will celebrate Mother’s Day this Friday through its early childhood education program, Unity 4Kids (U4K), honoring the mothers of its youngest learners with a heartfelt morning of appreciation and connection.

As part of the celebration, mothers will join their children for breakfast, sharing meaningful time together while being recognized for their vital role in their children’s lives. The children will proudly present handmade gifts they created in the classroom, making the occasion both personal and memorable.

U4K is a 5-Star rated, nationally accredited, and licensed early learning center offering Pre-K and VPK for children ages 3 to 5. In a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment, students build confidence, independence, and positive peer relationships, entering kindergarten-ready with strong early literacy and math foundations, classroom routines, and self-regulation skills. Through guided play and daily instruction that emphasize teamwork, communication, and healthy emotional expression, children strengthen the social-emotional development that supports long-term success in school and beyond.

“Our Unity 4Kids Mother’s Day celebration reflects what Hispanic Unity of Florida stands for: family, connection, and community,” said Elizabeth Dorante, Senior Vice President of Programs for Education and Civic Engagement at Hispanic Unity of Florida. “For more than 15 years, this tradition has allowed us to honor the mothers who are at the heart of our children’s growth and success. These shared moments strengthen the bond between families and reinforce the supportive environment we strive to create across all of our programs.”

Through Unity 4Kids and its broader programming, HUF continues to support families by creating spaces where children can thrive, parents feel valued, and communities grow stronger together.
